I Flashed Two Different Bioses To My 2 Banks,
« on: August 12, 2003, 02:24:00 PM »

I used flashX to flash two different bioses to my two X2.0lite banks. When I powerup it runs the bios from the first bank. When I reboot however, it runs the 2nd bank bios. A) is this supposed to happen, B.) is there a way to stop this from happening? I thought the bank selctor jumper was the only thing that could cause bios switching... WTF?

thanx all

no. Should I do that? Or should I make 2 512 bioses aout of the 2 256's, then flash? I think xbm just makes the 2 256's into 2 512's then adds them into one big 1024 bios. Is that right, and is that what I should do? People tole me otherwise. I just flashed one bios to #1 and 2, IE bank one using flash X. Then I flashed Biso 2 to #3 and 4 IE bank two, using Flash X. Confusing enough yet?

thanx anyway

I think your saying it right.  use x2bm to make your 1024 KB file.  Depends on how big the original bios's are to how it all lines up but you'll have 2 512 bioses to boot from.  Bank 1 / Bank 2  so must add till you have 2 512 bios's save as 1 1024 then write to chip.  Try using the x2cable software for your x2lite.  If your switch is set to boot the first bios thats all it should boot.
