if i disable them both in EvoX and in the X2 bios does that just mean i have no reset and i only can "reset it" by turning it off?

By fully disabling IGR, yes, you have to reboot your Xbox using the eject button UNLESS you are using X2 4977. If you are, then you gotta power off and then back on.

i am planning to use x2 4977 when i get my mod chip in the mail. I have no problem "reseting" it by the power button but will this slove the problems that people are having with igr? and also how do u combine that igr disable file to the bios? you know with x2 4977?

i actually don't know of anyone having a problem with the IGR at the bios level. I would just disable it in evox and see how it works for you.

i rather turn off my xbox manualy and deal with no IGR at all, EvoXs or the bios's. i would like to know though is how to use that igr disable file and use it on my x2 4977 bios.

to disable bios IGR put a blank file called "x2_IGR_disabled" in the root of the E: partition

i mainly want to disable both igrs because of all the problems ive heard on the board on the game midtown madness 3 and its freezing problems. and im usally right next to the box but yes x2s igr would be handy but i just flash the chip and see if i have any probs down the road.
