X2.2 Help...
« on: July 20, 2003, 01:58:00 PM »

OK, i'm modding my friends box and i soldered a x2.2 lite in.  I used my programmer to flash the chip, that went well. It erased, wrote, then verified....  When i put the chip into his xbox and start it up, it turns on and off, and on the third time it stays on but i have no picture.  When i turn the chip off everything works fine.  I thought it may have been my soldering, so to check that i took out my x2lite chip that i've had working for a few months and put it in his xbox using the same cable with the 9 wires soldered to his box.... (just switched chips) and everything works just fine with my chip in there.  Oh by the way before i used the programmer i turned it on to see if it worked, and it fragged 3 times then started normally with the cromwell bios.  i just didn't want to deal with getting the thomson drive to read cd-rw's and i dont want to waste a dvd-r on a 1 mb file.  DOes anyone have any help here?!?!?!
thanks so much

oh, also you know how it comes with that small cable within with the 2 wires comming out.  similar to the cable with the 9 wires comming out.  but it only has the d0 and the ground wire... i didn't use that on my chip, so i assumed i dont have to on his.  am i correct with this assumption?  what does that do anyways.

Why not boot the xbox with the x2 lite, switch it with the x2 pro, and use FlashX to reprogram it.
