The green led turning red .............. and flashing the chip are 2 different things.
The led's tell you if the chip is mounted correctly, ...What does the manual say about the
led flashing green then red & staying red? Do you have a good D0? If your D0 is no good.
you can always use the alternate D0 on the back of
the motherboard. use only a 12-15 watt iron.... a 30 watt will fry the board.
When you are flashing the chip in the programmer did you get a red led? You must pinch
the chip with your finger & thumb to insure a good contact between the chip and the
programmer.... while pushing the programmer into the printer port to insure a good
connection between the programmer and the printer port... and hold it and hold it and
hold it......while it flashes .Your back will be ok the next day....You can always call tech
support where you bought the chip and explain the problem.........................Good Luck
