The chip shipped with 4976.02 so I think I am gonna stick with that instead of risking a bad flash.

Yes I can and I know they recommended 4976.02 so I am going to keep it instead of using the newer 4977. Chill out.

go w/ 4976.02 does everything. all u have to do is patch the long file name games (ETM). And there is no BIOS that auto patches long file names.
