wow, ive posted this question and within 30 min there have been no replys but instead four new questions with numerous replies.

sry ive posted so many questions wityh out a reply from anyone else but there have been 2 NEW questions and loads of replys after i posted this and thats not fair

dood, it boots the damn DVDROM first, why didnt you just put a game in and see if it loaded b4 the dash!! ah! Install the chip, then dont boot up untill you have the EVOX cd in the drive. simple. and even if u do put up there are ways of recovery, and besides if it does detect a chip, it doesnt matter, just dont log online.

sry, but i was in need of q uckis answer so i could ponder on my options.
i was thinking at the time that the xbox booted xbocdash.xbe first so the dash would boot the dvd like a basic OS (can the  BIOS boot the DVD before any other file?)

i know that im OK by not going online, just that when ive installed the chip i HAVE to access xboxdash.xbe (unless it boots an evoX disk first...)

so if this does happen, what shall i do? where is this software flag stored?
if i back up my hardrive then ill still have that flag wont i?
