Xbtool Updates
« on: June 30, 2003, 12:19:00 PM »

tongue.gif , but I do want to explain why I release a lot of updates.

I release stuff when I think it might be useful and/or it fixes a bug. Granted, I could wait longer and roll more features into one release, but I prefer to do regular builds whenever something changes and let people (who are so inclined) try it out. It helps me in the developemnet process. If there is a problem, I find out about it sooner and I can narrow down it's orgin more easily.

Also, though I do have people helping me with feedback, I don't have regular beta testers (I do test any modified patch code myself prior to releasing an update, however). Consequently, I need the feedback from you, the users. I often don't find out about bugs until after I get that feedback and rather than let the bugs linger for days, weeks, or months, I try to fix them. It isn't like XBtool is a huge DL, after all, and no one is forced to update.

Thanks for listening.
