New Xecuter 4977 Bios
« on: June 15, 2003, 08:52:00 AM »

Has anyone tried it yet? Is it set to boot xboxdash.xbe or evoxdash.xbe? Is it colormodded?

I have never flashed my chip (Matrix) via EvoX yet, so I am just wondering.

Also, What do I need to add to my EvoX ini to allow flashing of the Matrix chip.. I know I need to put it on Mode 4 (I think).

You can relatively easily unpack and hexedit the BIOS to F boot and all that.. or just wait a few days for a new XBTool profile.  smile.gif

Works fine for me. Can't wait till I can change the color to blue and leave the ani on.

On my first attempt at flashing 4977 to a cheapmod via evox, the flash halted about 1/3 of the way through.  The clock was still running, so the box had not locked altogether, but the flash never continued.  After hot swapping the chip into another box, the 4977 flash went fine.  Since then I've done 2 more cheapmod'ed xboxes, and haven't seen the issue again.

I did however chat with another user on IRC who had the same issue I did.  Perhaps it's not an altogether isolated incedent?

smile.gif And yea, the no reset on eject is permanent... It won't reset when playing a game either. Its kinda annoying to have to turn off the power to the xbox if you wanna get away from a game and back to the EvoX dash.... Since I have all IGR's turned to off, thats my only way to go. =/
