Flash 4973 To 4976 Bios
« on: May 25, 2003, 10:32:00 AM »

and I still don't fully understand.  I don't want to screw up my xbox so if anyone can help it would be great.  I have a X2lite, i installed a switch to disable the chip, i'm running evox.  there is no flash option in the settins menu.  I would like to flash the chip to 4976 so I don't have to patch all these new games all the time.  I already have the bios on my pc.  thanks.

There is a flash option, you just didn't see it.  It's under System Utils in EvoX.

you need to add a line to your evox.ini. put this in there

CODE
Item "Flash BIOS",@1

also, make a folder in your C: drive called Bios and place your bios files in there.

This line is in evox.ini by default.  Also, the bios folder is included in the EvoX RAR distribution.

actually, if he installed evox using slayers 2.0, the line is absent from the .ini.

You can put it anywhere in the menu.  I trimmed your post that included the ENTIRE INI file and put the line in one place it could be.

THIS IS ONE MORE REASON WHY I RESENT SLAYER'S...PEOPLE BECOME DEPENDANT AND ACTUALLY UNLEARN THINGS INSTEAD OF BECOMING SELF-SUFFICIENT.  THIS IS A QUESTION THAT SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE ASKED.
