Lo all, ive been reading for months now about all the exploits and gonna do it, i shouldnt have any probs following the tutorials im im very compuer literate.

All i was wondering was what explot i should use, im not sure what version my xbox is (and will prob do it on a m8's too so would need a version that works on all). Once exploited i just want  the xbox to load up to EvoX, and so will then act likle a normal chipped xbox right? i can chuck in backups etc etc.. i head probs about clock looping etc?

My Xbox once exploited will only really be used to run backups and XBMP, nothing fancy like linux etc so dont need to take that into account if its an issue.

Wondered if u guys could suggest the best Exploit to use, and if there are any restrictions with them or things i should be aware of, i know u cant use Xbox Live but thats no probs

I seen a bloke advertising on my local forum to Explot and says that he uses a combination of 3 Exploits, thats all the clues he gives but does say that once done u cant copy Music to the HDD, i saw a video of it working and u have to turn the box on with an audio CD in, press a combo of buttons (through the menus) and then evo-x works, but everyone he has Exploited seems very happy with it, no probs whatsoever - any idea what one this may be?

Ok well here's what another forum member said before, I hope he doesn't mind me posting it. Its very informative hence that is why I'm posting it.

Phoenix Bios Loader does exactly what it sais on the tin it loads a bios the one it comes with when you download it will be called xboxrom.bin this bios is actually the very same bios used in executor 2 modchips its the x2_4977_BFM bios notice the BFM it stands for Boot From Media do not try to load anything but a boot from media i doubt it will harm your xbox indefinately but it will definately be fuckin headwork hot swopping n shit to fix that so ok you run your chosen exploit say here we load the audio exploit ms dashboard is waiting stick an audio cd in the drive wait till it loads and begins playing then click bB to go back then click Copy then go to copy again on the next screen then click A on the next screen then A again so thats "Copy Copy A A" then it will boot and look in E for linux.xbe which is actually the phoenix bios loader xbe file renamed to linux.xbe and signed with the audio signature so phoenix bios loader loads the executor 2 bios which in turn will look to load evoxdash.xbe in C which is your evox dashboard which you will have sitting in C for the executor bios to load if it fails to find it then it will go on to look for xboxdash.xbe which is the xbe file that launches the ms dashboard when your xbox is first turned on dont ever mess with it its really important that u dont ever mess with it either way it will load one of the dashboards but obviously you will want to have evox dashboard sitting in C that way you have a neet new dashboard that you can learn shit on please do yourself a favour also first chance you get backup your C and E drives i dont know anything else too add im babbling on now if i missed something thats a shame but im sure someone will point it out

Ok the one the dude is advertising is the audio exploit. Which I'm currently using and its very good in that it doesn't suffer from clock loop problems. If you grab Morden's package for it you will be able to copy music to the HDD too. It patches the ST.db (the audio ripper and exploit) on the fly.

Yes the fonts has the clock loop so beware.

However, you've entered the market at an awesome time If you have a look at the "Dashboard Exploit" forum under Mechinstaller Evox. This is a new exploit based on the fonts exploit (it was actually hacked from some people who developed it for linux), but so far it doens't suffer from the clock loop quite as bad. And I know of no one who has got stuck in it indefinitely. This will replace the "Xbox LIve" tab on your dashboard with a "Evox" option allowing you to boot into evox with less button presses than the audio hack. I'm definitely going to give this a go.

Oh that combination exploit. You can write your evox.ini so that you can swap between audio and fonts exploit. That way if you are say unplugging your xbox switch to audio. Then once you've finished load up the audio hack and switch back to fonts.

Also in regards to version. I'm not sure if the actual xbox version matters but more what version of the dashboard you have. I know the audio hack only works on the 4920 dashboard. I am not sure about the fotns hack. And I read somewhere, don't quote me though, that a Boot from media (for use in PBL) bios does not exist yet for v1.4 and 1.5 boxens.

for 1.4/1.5 xbox, you can just evox d6.ef bfm or m7 bfm bios which are both on the usual places now. you'd better off go with the pbl 1.3.5i though.

So the m7 bfm works with pbl now? 1.3 or 1.3.5i only?
