hi guys, i got a brand new xbox v1.5.. i got the following step to load fine

PBL1.3.5i (screen scramble) -> EvoxD6_EF_BFM (screen fine) -> Evox Dash B39 LOAD

-everything is working fine ex. FTP. Xplorer..etc.. but when i put in a backup dvd games.. EvoxDash recornize the dvd as "GAME" then i selected "Launch DVD" form the menu it when to the launch waiting screen then back to EvoxDash. WHY?

plz help thx in advance.

Are you sure that your DVD rom can read the CDR or DVDR you have burnt on? Try FTPing the game over and loading from your HDD.

Also I was under the impression that there was no BFM bios that worked for 1.5/1.4 boxes. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well i am not sure what version my BOX is, but it's dated "03/08/11" and yes my Xdvd can read dvdr. Here is a quick info..

1) PBL 1.3 or 1.3.5i (screen scramble) -> EvoxD6_EF_BFM (screen fine) -> Evox Dash B39 LOAD..

*all home made apps run fine off HD. (ex. Xplorer, FTP, XBMP, etc..)
*all original DVD Games run fine.
*ONLY mechassault backup + original work find on and off HD?

?

and when i use the other bios here is what happen...

2) PBL 1.3 or 1.3.5i (screen scramble) -> xboxrom.bin(X2 4977_BFM) (screen scramble)
-> Evox Dash B39 (screen scramble)...

*EVERYTHING WORK, but with screen scrambling.

my question is now HOW COME MECHASSAULT RUN but not other?

how can you find out if your xbox can read cdr or dvdr i dont want to waste a dvdr for nuthin

i got it when it first came out if that helps

try launching the defaule.xbe of the backup using boxplorer. if you open boxplorer and it shows up blank when you open the D drive, then your dvd drive is not reading the data. I had a similar problem where the backups said "audio" when inserted and would not launch with boxporer. I switched to my thompson drive and it recognized the disc. My samsung wouldnt read.

You can't really. Not that I know of.

But there are 3 different types of DVD ROM drives. And each one has a different probability of reading CDRs and DVDr. Have a look at the sticky in the Hardware forum on how to tell what drive you have. Best Samsung then Phillips then Thompson.

Though having said that most of the drives are able to read DVDr.

Edit: Just saw that you got it when it first came out. Then your most likely have a thompson drive.

no i don't think is the XDVD or my box at all. Everything work fine with the 4977 bios except the screen. Only when i change it to EvoxD6_EF_BFM then i can't launch backup. I tried launching default.xbe through Xplorer too, but same result. I think is the bios problem.

Yeah 4977 patches the default.xbe media checks for you and d6 doesn't. The new evox M7 bios patches these for you. You should try M7 because it is the best bios that works on 1.4 and 1.5 at the moment
