Try this . . .

!!!NEW RELEASE 2.08 IS OUT!!! (09-03-2003)

- From this release BiosChecker tell you what TYPE OF CHIP contains the bios (TSOP reflashed, LPC, Homebrew eprom/flashrom). Useful if you buy a new XBOX and want to know if the vendor has installed the chip that you want ;-)

EvoX doesn't show your BIOS version at all?  How about your kernel version?  If it says 1.4976.02, then you know it's the X2 4976.02 build, for example.

What's a MD5 hash "lookup table"? Does it look up your bios? How can I tell if it's up to date?

What's a MD5 hash "lookup table"?

here is one maintained by x-s members . . .

edit . . .

Personally i do not like a big MD5 list in my evox.ini file.

Making you own MD5 Value . . .

When creating a custom BIOS with a tool such as XBtool you can copy the BIOS MD5 value and paste it into your evox.ini.

evox.ini explained here . . .

My kernal says 1.00.4976.02
My bios says unknown. Does the kernal tell me or hint what bios I have? Anyone know?

you just answered your own question. you have an xecuter 4976.02, pretty much the best bios out for the moment

How come it doesn't show up? Do I have to add something to my ini file? What do I add?

it's because you didn't have the correct hash declared in the evox.ini
