X2 Bios - No Ani? Blue? Etc...
« on: May 14, 2003, 01:49:00 PM »

I just want to change the color and get rid of the ANI using the new X2 bios 4976.02.  I downloaded Fancbox and xbtools - but neither would work due to the bios being too new.  Does anyone have this bios all rigged up or know where I can find it?  I didn't see it in the "usual places" - thanks

Playing with BIOS is fun! (Especially when you have an Xtra mod chip around in case you F#$% it all up!)

Thanks guys - I got the NEWEST version of xbtools and it worked great.  Now I have X2 .02 - Blue With No - Ani.

Now how do I change the text that pops up on the boot up screen? (Ie MS or Xecuter 2)?  I'd like to put a personal message in there.  smile.gif  Thanks!

You can change the logo of an individual XBE file using LogoX.  However, the initial bootup when using an X2 BIOS will always show XECUTOR2 at the bottom.  I guess it's so you know the mod is on and functioning.

You cannot change the logo "xecuter2" that appears under xbox logo. The raw logo is located somewhere in the BIOS. So using logox wont work as it only patch the default.xbe. You can however change the logo if you are using evox d.6. bios.
Why change the logo anyway? Team Xecuter deserves a credit. Give credit where it deserves..
