Xbmp Video Issue
« on: February 19, 2005, 10:01:00 PM »

I download XBMP from the mirror on xbins. I copied it over to my xbox fine. I was able to run it, but copied DVDs played wrong with different colored squares. So I looked around in the video settings and the only thing I remember changing was the force pal option when availible. Now when I start up my xbox, it freezes before it goes to the dash but the same type of image the copied DVD's had is displayed, the different colored squares.

I softmodded my xbox. Any ideas?

So I found this post

In order to use the Enigmah CD you would have to have a chipped box right? Cause I downloaded it from the usual place with no go.

Why are you using xbmp?? just curious..

I suggest using xbmc, as xbmp is no longer being developed or supported.. xbmc is the way to go..

what you describe sounds like the macrovision protection they put on DVDs.  How did you copy it to the XBOX?  If you used dvd2xbox, make sure that macrovision detection/removal is turned on before ripping.
