okay, had a enigmah modchip. wouldn't boot anymore...just a black screen. opened my box, saw two broken solder points. took out the chip and put on the ma/audio hack soft mod. worked fine. have had a softmod on my xbox now for about 2 weeks, no problems.

until today. booted up my xbox...nothing. just a black screen. and the weird thing is, is when i pressed eject, it took about 10 times to actually eject the disk. is there anything i can do to fix this problem? i haven't had a single problem with my softmod, until this. any ideas? this happen to anyone else?

sorry was going to say earlier no i havent heard of this i would say delete your cache partitions and gamesaves blah blah blah but really its guess work besides you cant get in to your xbox to do so

i honestly have never heard of this happening mate did you by anychance enable IGR in your evox.ini the last time u had your xbox on? im guessing no to be honest but its the only thing that i know that can make it hang like this.

the wierd thing is...is that it did this before when i had my modchip in. booted up...but nothing. no video, no audio.

now i have a softmod, everything was fine.

when i boot up no audio, no video.

i thought it may have been loose solder on my motherboard. i took a desolder braid to it and removed all the loose solder from where my chip was. but to no avail.

this is really killing me. i have no idea what's wrong, and no one seems to have any idea either.

the only suggestion i have gotten is to try and hook up my hd to my pc. but i don't know how i'd be able to do that since i don't even get a dashboard to show up.

i appreciate your post stanneh, and i hope others will read this topic and try and help me out.

and to the igr, i have never had igr enabled so i know that couldn't be it.
