No Audio Or Video Green Light Blinks
« on: February 21, 2004, 07:16:00 PM »

OK I installed a mod chip and put in another hard drive with evolution on it and tried to ftp to the box but it won't link up,I know all the settings are good because I can link to the hard drive with my other box.Where are the settings for ntsc/pal located? is it in the hard drive or is this something on the mother board that gets changed? If it is on the hard drive then the new drive should have fixed my problem if it is in fact the ntsc/pal is causing the problem. If the settings are on the mobo then I'll try to do the trick with the cd to change the settings. If anyone knows where the settings are held please let me know. Thanks

my mod chip makes my xbox play ntsc, or pal. are you using xbox:xbox as your username:password while FTPing? You need to give more specifics.

Motorhead I am having the exact same problem,

The problem occurred for me when I changed the video setting from one NTSC to another NTSC format.  I haven't been able to find out where it stores the file.  I tried switching the hard drive to the original Xbox drive and it come with the cromwell screen, but the screen is scrolling like on a tv when the vertical hold is wacked.  I switched my chip to use the second bank and it also has the scrolling effect.  When I turn the mod chip off I get a FRAG.  To me it seems like the file is not stored on the hard drive?

If I figure out what the problem is I'll let you know and you do the same for me.

Again, closing thread.

Why not use the one in the Pinned Topic?

I understand that you want help with this but Why spam the forum when there is a thread DEDICATED to this problem?!?!
