 I don't know if Im doing anything wrong but I still get the dreaded "connection timed out" when using shoutcast. I did everything,searched for tuts and even downloaded the latest .pls files in this site and still gets timed out. Is there any other tuts there that are accurate and works?

  Im using a hub to network to my pc and xbox. I have no problems ftping and using relax on my xns network. Shoutcast is the only problem I have and Im so frustrated gettin' it to work. I've read that you have to change the "nameserver" to your pc's ip in config.xml. I did this but still does'nt work. I ran out of options so if anyone out there who knows the right way to set this up please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I get the same issues with most Shoutcast stations, mainly from that release from a few days ago. Best bet is to just use the most popular stations like RadioStorm and such. From time to time you have to update the .sc file because IPs sometimes change. (Or at least I have had to with RadioStorm a few times)

It could also be a settings issue in your config.xml. Try to access IMDB (pressing info on a movie or TV show file or directory) if that times out, then start looking at your config.xml. If it works, your connection is fine and it's the .sc/.pls file.
