Help Me Out

Not sure if this will help but I got about 10gb's worth of music and pics, I just FTP'd them over and everything worked fine. Try to FTP instead of burning.

Good luck.

Sorry dude, here goes.  I used slayers, the latest, had most of the programs already, never dealt with xbmp before, but it seems that is far superior to most of the proggies I have used on the box so far, and complicated.  I have a Phillips dvd rom in box, it will read just about all types and brands of media, I know that this is not the problem.  Using Prassi Primo, and adaptec, burner software, have huge resource of box programs as well, xiso, etc.  Compiled a test cd the other day with about 20 pics, jpg, and 20 songs, mp3's.  Since I havent tried to get pics or songs to work on xbmp, I used both programs, adaptec with iso9660 format, and Primo in udf, one of the discs worked but only about 4 songs and 4 pics off the same cd worked.  I then compiled another, but larger disc and tried about 10 different times and used different settings each time with both programs to see if i could get the whole disc to read, but to my demise none of the new cd's worked at all.  I am at a loss, tired of ruining my discs, wanted someone to give me program settings to help me speed things up and not waste any more cd's.  you dont have to ftp the pics/or anything else for that matter to the box, especially when you can do it all from disc anyway.  besides I have a 333mhz pc and there is no room for net card.  Just trying to make it til income tax time to build a better pc.  Any suggestions will help thanx for your reply.  RIPOFFWHITEY

Hmmm... I dunno about that.  I've never used Prassi, and xiso definitely isn't what you need to be using.  I re-read your post and didn't see any info on if the file names/conventions are too long/ or wrong.  Xbox can only read files that are a certain length, i think like 30 characters long, and they can't have things like commas.  That might be your problem.  In my experience using RecordnowMax you just burn a data disc at once in udf and I have had no problems.  So I can't get too specific with your particular problems, but it seems to me by what you are saying either you are misnaming certain files that then don't show up, or you are screwing up the burning process, which is less likely.  Also, philips aren't known to read CD-r's all that well so it might just be a case of that, but like I said I dunno.  I have a Thompson and it only reads DVD+r's.  Check the file names.

edit- you might also want to check and make sure prassi doesn't have joliet on when doing the burn, that will screw things up as well.  No joliet!

jcbuche, could you pelase cut and paste the section of your xml file that points it to your local drive for the mp3's?  For some reason I can get MP3's to play from anywhere except the local HDD..  Makes no sense...  Thanks!
