Issues Using Relax And Mounted Hds
« on: January 19, 2004, 12:15:00 AM »

I've been running RelaX and XBMP for damn near a year now in all sorts of differant configurations.
But I've never come across an issue like this.

Currently I have a computer dedicated to Chat and RelaX. It's a 500mhz K6-2 running Win2000 Pro. The Xbox is wired up to my broadband Linksys router. I have a 40GB HD in that computer that, when shared in RelaX, can be read fine though the Xbox/XNS. But my mounted drives from my main PC won't show upthrough XNS.

Now, last week, it did. Since then all I did was remove one HD from my main PC and put it in the 500mhz. I first re-mounted the remote HDs in Win2K and set them up in RelaX like always. But now, anything I try to read on the Xbox from that 2nd computer will not show up. One main thing I noticed is now I get a Debug error when set to port 1400 that says: "5 Could not bind socket. Address and port are already in use." I've tried switching to port 1600 and the error goes away, but still no shares from the remote PC.

Anyone got a clue what's goin on here? Why won't XBMP see the anything from the mounted drives?

EDIT: Shares set up from the local HD don't seem to be running from RelaX. They seem to just be running. RelaX doesn't do any communication at all with XBMP to run any file from the local PC. I can even shut down RelaX completely and shares still work.
