haha, I had the same problem, you should trry searching for it, slayers might be a good place to start beerchug.gif

He has XBMP, he wants CVS builds for newly developed features.   wink.gif

I'm sure they'll spit some new ones out soon, XBMC hasn't had too many builds lately either (just one from the other day).

To tell the truth I don't think there will be a XBMP release in the near future..... If only someone at this forum could do it for us, the new CVS tree contains new XVID codec and more stuff (I think)....

do you think xvidis betterthen divx? I have been making movies lately, new divx 5.1.1 and I think the quality is the best I have seen as of yet, havent tryed xvid but I alway though divx was better, is it in your opinion?

On top of that, does anyone know if their is a way to turn the aspect ration in xbmp off so that it will maintain the original aspect I select for it when I make the divx?

I checked it out, divx 5 has double the fps apparently, but that doesent matter, quality does. so in your own opinion, do you think the video from xvid looks better then video from divx 5. I read the post in xvid forum, is xvid better then divx and it's a whole lotta info that I just can make sense of it all. I'm still a noob compared to others in the video incoding department. another question, what resolution do you normaly make you movies at? 720x320 gave me desireable results, I wanted a movie with big black bars so the video would look good and to do it I had to set my resolution differently, before I would do 322x178 or so and the video would look terrible unless I use zoomplayer and set aspectratio to custom, only way I found to play a movie at that resolution with the black bars how they should appear, I think media player zooms in on the file to make it take up the whole window and appear how it shouldent look fuzzy, and not very sharp like 720x320 has done for me

It sounds like you have stretch enabled. Simply go into the OSD (Title on the remote or Y i think on the controller) and under video disable stretch.

I checked it out and downloaded .8 version, gonna try it out tommrow on vinilla sky, the movie giving me all the probs. I'm gonna see if auto gk really works, I'm guessing it will take alot longer then manually doing everything like I would in regular gk
