I've been encoding alot of video lately and have had better results with wmv files at 2mbs. They look the same as the divx 5.1 files encoded at various rates and the wmv seems to play smoother. (I am affected by flicker and refresh rates - this is why I got a xbox over a ps2) also the file is smaller with wmv. maby I am not doing somthing with the divx files? what have you guys had the best results with in xbmp? if your making great divx files, what rate and settings, and what program are you encoding with? Thanks for any info.
