I've installed EvolutionX 3935 dash and everything is working fine. Now I want to be able to play DVDs. I didn't user Slayer's install or anything just a manual install. All I really want to do is play DVDs without the playback kit. I have followed the tutorials that I could find and couldn't really find exactly what I need to do for a straight install; not worrying about Relax or any of that.
I've edited and played with both evox.ini and config.xml as much as I can; I can configure to where I can launch XBMP but everytime I try to play a dvd it goes to the msdashboard thing and says I need a playback kit. I have changed the "DVDplayer" path to e:appsxbmpdefault.xbe .. I renamed xbplayer.xbe to default.xbe .. I couldn't get it to even start otherwise, unless I executed it from an ftp client. I have edited both files a bunch of different ways and even tried the xbmp .cut file .. every time it goes to the msdashboard.
It seems like there is a very simple solution to this .. if anyone could help me .. I think I jus need the basic steps to install XBMP on an xbox with the original hdd and set evolutionx up to use it to play dvd's .. thanks in advance
