If by dvd region free you mean DVDx2 then that doesnt support the remote, if you mean youve patched the origional msdashboard to accept all regions then this should support the remote.


You should look on #xbins for the region free msdash patch.

You'll need to change your settings to load xboxdash.xbe from c: when a dvd is inserted. Don't ask me how though. I've never used MXM for anything but multi-game discs.

In MXM, tell it to not auto-launch DVDs and/or change the default DVD/media player to your preferred DVD player.  I just got the DVD playback kit and find the MS DVD player to be much nicer than DVD-X2.  I have no need for region free playback, and DVD-X2 has trouble with many re-authored movies (only player, standalone or PC-based that has problems with them).  The MS DVD player interface is much, much cleaner as well.

Invert the slash side, this mb dont support the other one but you have to use the other one.
