Remove Black Borders From Mpeg File

I want to get rid of the borders on my video file which is in mpeg format, I've tried to remove them in XBMB by using stretch and clipping but this still doesn't get rid of them all.

I know I can convert the file to DivX or remove them but this will be really time consuming.

Can XBMP or any other media player remove the borders and do the clipping properly.

If anybody knows of an app which can do this job quickly then please tell me.
