I am pretty sure I got everything set right. My xbox has a xbit chip and I installed a m7 with default path set to xbmp's xbe. I set to the right bios bank(with colored bios i can tell the correct bios is loaded). But it stays at the xbox logo without loading up XBMP. I have to switch back to evox for now...anybody has any idea?
I am able to load xbmp from evox tho.

is the .cut file setup correctly? I belive it's called XboxMediaPlayer.cut

Mine is setup as follows...

XBMP xbe is called evoxdash.xbe and it's located on the root of F:
XboxMediaPlayer.cut points to the f:XBMP folder where my XBMP files are located.

My bios boots to f:evoxdash.xbe 1st
Have to tried it using the cut file like the manual says?

stupid question maybe, but the .cut file is also on F: and not C:?

i see... i thought the only think i need to do is point the first boot to XBMP's xbe.
Can someone give a clearer howto on how to set up XBMP as dashboard? especially info about .cut.
.cut is supposed to be a shortcut. What does it have to do with setting up dashboard?
