Movie And Picture Not Taking Up The Whold Tv

Hi...

I have 3/4 TV.
I can't get my picture to show up the entire TV screen, but top and bottum are black... and my movie files when playing, show too much black area... much more than normal... Looks like about 2/5 of the screen showing movie, and 3/5 is showing black.  I tried stretch and amorph...., it takes up the ENTIRE screen, but it seems make it overstretched...(people look taller and skinner).... I also tried to calibrate but without success.

BTW, my XBMC displays pictre correctly as well as movie, except subtitle was bit too low.  
ANY SUGGESTION?
