I have XBMS configured (correctly, I hope) on a FreeBSD box. I set up the line in the xbmp confg file and am able to somewhat browse through the contents of the server.
My issue is that sometimes, XBMP won't drill down through some directories. I'm going to play with groups some more, maybe make a media group and user, but I thought I set permissions with chmod to be 755. I even included -R. I just mash that button away (A, I think) without getting in. Sometimes a reboot helps, sometimes it doesn't.
ANY IDEAS???!!!!
Is this an XBMP or XBMS issue? I think that when I tried to get into the directory, XBMS didn't show anything on the screen.
Is there an alternative server I should look into? I have linux compatability with FreeBSD, but I would prefer not to have to use a linux binary. For that manner, compilation isn't too fun either.
