Just a temporary solution if it works ok.

Why dont you pull out the red or white/yellow audio jack coming out of the xbox from the tele/hi-fi?

The only other way i could think of is plugging it into the auxilary of your hi-fi and changing the balance to either left or right.

I havent tested anything, im just throwing out ideas.
