Xbox Gone Wrong

My xbox will play for 20 minutes, and then the fan shuts off and everything goes blank.

I am assuming this is a plea for help, rather than stating a fact for our benefit.   :D

1. Is your Xbox modded in any way?
2. How long has it been doing this?
3. Is there a history of similar problems with this particular Xbox?
4. Where is your Xbox located?
5. Is the Xbox still running when the video and the fan stop functioning?
