Ccxstream Error
« on: October 24, 2003, 07:42:00 PM »

Hello,

I set up ccXstream server just as the guide pinned to the top of the forum told me too. When I try to ruh the program, it displays an error stating that it cannot bind to port 1400. I'm running XP Pro SP1 if that helps.

Using TCPView, I can see that Port 1400 is being used by a process called "System:4", which isn't very specific because I don't know where to go to disable it ... that's pretty damn annoying.  Will continue to look into it...

Well...I pretty much could not find out the program responsible for taking over port 1400 - looks like a "port of choice" for some sub-system command.  So I tried to see if I could force the system to choose a different port by loading up Relax in the system startup.  So I loaded a link to relax in the startup, and wa-laa, Relax gains control through port 1400 after a system reset!  Now the "system:4" uses a different port.  Pretty interesting....

Hope this helps some of you with these problems!
