Long Load Times...or Did It Lock Up?
« on: October 21, 2003, 10:59:00 AM »

I just uploaded a bunch of movie files onto my xbox.  When I select XBMP, it stalls at the "launch" screen.  What is causing this?  I have waited for about 5 minutes now and it is still locked at that screen.

Is there any way to make it load faster, or is there something wrong?

There is deffo something wrong, it should take about 3 seconds to load, no matter how many movies you have.

What version of XBMP do you have?

Try 2.4 or the 13th October build.

Movie files should not affect whether XBMP loads up or not.

Paste your video shares section of config.xml here or even all of it.

Do you have your video files in f:\video and do they have an extension that appears in teh extensions part of your config.xml?
