Not sure what you're talking about there, but in the title it says Karaoke, so all I have to say is:

THIS WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Especially if it was implemented into XBMP or XBMC.

It would make the program the ultimate entertainment center for sure.

That's my thoughts on the matter anyways.

Ok, I need some help on this. I have found where to get the cdg files, but when I convert them using cdg2mpg I only get the lyrics coming up. No audio.

Then I figured that I had to ge tthe audio mp3 myself. So I did, and also downloaded a player called WinCDG Pro. Using this program I can open the cdg file and it will automatically open the mp3 file. Problem is, they are not in sunc.

How do I fix this, or am I going in the wrong direction?

Thanks for any help.

The guy who wrote cgd2vcd is the same guy who wrote SensitiveX.
Since he has XBOX programing experience I would think he might be able to help in getting XBMC to be able to read CD+G.

Ok, I figured it out, but the files all end up being like 50mb, where as the cdg file and mp3 file are a mere 5mb or so.

I would also suggest trying to get xbmp or xbmc to read cdg files.

This would make it the ultimate entertainment system for sure.

It would also be really nice if support was added for using a microphone connected via an xbox live communicator as many of us do not have microphone connections on the television or receiver. Speaking of, anyone know a way to use a microphone on such a system?

mad.gif I tried to use a real karaoke disk and it just plays the music, again.. no lyrics on screen. You have an option to import karaoke tunes from your PC but they have to be saved in .krk format (must be MS i guess) I can't seem to find any .KRK conversion tools out there... if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.  I was kinda wondering how it "strips the lyrics from virtually every song in your collection" It comes with a few karaoke tunes, but I wanna be able to sing "at a medium pace" on my box HEH

From what i understand about Music maker from other threads is thats it seems to be a real hassle to get your mp3+cdg into it. I vote for cdg support in XBMP!

mp3+cdg

the MS's version sucks , and you have to change everything to wma format.

XBMP is the way to go!
