Weird Problem With Xbmp
« on: September 24, 2003, 04:49:00 PM »

unsure.gif.  If anyone has been able to overcome this problem, please let me know how you did it?  Thanks!

On a related note, if you plan on using Slayer's Evox Autoinstaller Version 2.1, be aware that XBMP version 2.3 will automatically be installed (with the correct folders Music, Pictures, and Videos) under the F: partition (if you upgrade to a larger hard drive that is).  I put a Maxtor 120 gig 7200 RPM 8 Meg cache hard drive in my Xbox  tongue.gif, and when I wanted to upgrade to XBMP 2.4, I FTped into my Xbox and found the XBMP folder inside the Apps folder on my F: partition and DELETED the XBMP folder from my Xbox; then I opened my config.xml file (with Notepad) in the XBMP 2.4 folder (after uncompressing it of course biggrin.gif) that I had saved on my PC and changed all instances in the file where the E: partition showed up to the F: partition and made sure to change the name of the Videos folder (under the videos/Xbox hard drive section of the config.xml) from video to videos,
then closed the file (making sure to save my changes), THEN copied-and-pasted my whole XBMP 2.4 folder BACK into the Apps folder in the F: partition on my Xbox (make sure when you copy-and-paste the XBMP 2.4 folder into the Xbox hard drive under the F: partition to name it XBMP)!  I know it sounds like a lot of work but it really wasn't; it was the only way I could upgrade to XBMP 2.4 and be sure it would access the correct folders on the correct partition.  Hope this helps someone (sorry if it's confusing but I am going from memory here)  laugh.gif .
