How Do I Switch Dash Boards From Evox To Xbmp?
« on: September 07, 2003, 12:31:00 PM »

either edit a bios so that it can boot a certain file from a certain drive (using xbtool) or move the files in the xbmp folder into the c drive, then rename the default.xbe to evox.xbe.  Before this move the evoxdash.xbe into  e:appsevox folder and rename it default.xbe, then move the bios folder and skins folder and evox.ini into this evox dir.  Then you will boot xbmp next time your xbox boots, make sure you rename the xbmp default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe or something though, otherwise you will have to fix your xbox using a boot disk.

If you have done something wrong you will still boot into evox automaticly as you have a failsafe solution.

I assume you are using one of the newer xecuter bioses ideally >= x2_4977

If so:

I would copy the xbmp default.xbe to: c:\evoxdash.xbe

I would copy the evolutionX default.xbe  to: c:\nexgen.xbe

I would leave the original ms dash as c:\xboxdash.xbe

If the error you got was error 16 then it is because the ms dash could not be found and your clock needs to be set.
