Hey man,
Well, I know where I live, the cable coming into the house for cable tv has potential grounding issues which causes a hum when listening to music from a computer or another source.  I never had this problem with the xbox though... but just try unplugging the coaxial cable from the wall and see if it goes away... Just a thought.
