thanks pyskoyly.  This solved my problem.  I was going to install a TV card, which supports NTSC-J, and your reply really saved me a lot of hassle.
If any one want a link of this file, PM me.
My next question is how to solve the black screen problem.  I leared that other people had this problem, maybe I need to use 2.3 instead of 2.4.

i just did the same thing.  i'm going to have to take my chip out and reprogram it (i had set the bios so it wouldn't boot from the dvd drive.  is there any other way to reset the video.  like blindly from the original dash.  or using ftp and a hex editor?

where is this data stored?

It's stored on the eeprom. The only way to do it correctly is to use the Enigma Video Selector Disc. I've heard that xbmp support for this feature is a bit buggy too.

i was afraid of that.  i really screwed things up last nigt trying to fix it.

-i'm running a matrix chip in this box V1.0.
-the chip is flashed with a bios that does not allow booting from the DVD by my design
-for some reson, i could not get the image for enigmah video selector to write to a CDRW
so i decided i would stick it on the hard drive via FTP and blindly select it thru evox. (with no luck)
-so i decided to write it to the hard drive renamed as evoxdash.xbe [had to run then, right] (OOPS! - i was tired)
so now i can no longer FTP to my hard drive or boot via DVD.
-easy fix is to flash my chip with the programmer. (to my suprise, the programmer no longer works)
(new battery mind you)

ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER

i also have a 1.1 box with a chameleon (pinheader install)
can i swap HDD, boot EVOX from dvd in my v1.1 box to fix the evoxdash and start the process over agian?
maybe then i can blindly flash the matrix with a normal bios and while i'm at it i can swap out my
samsung DVD so i know once i get the video selector on a cd i don't have to worry too much about whether
or not the DVD detects it.

Always delete the system.bin file after a upgrade!

c:\tdata\0face007
and
c:\udata\0face007

(Delete those 2 folders)

Then calibrate your screen in the settings option!
