Is Tv Guide Site Down?
« on: July 04, 2003, 11:02:00 AM »

anyone else having problems logging onto TV guide page today?
I was not having any problems until today.
Is the site down?
If so ... is their an alternative site to plug in?
Thanks

Zap2it is the one my xbox currently uses ... have they changed the method to access it? or is it just a temporary thing?

Zap2it failed to give us a form to choose a Provider
check with zap2it site postal/zip code ***** is valid

(the ***** is my zip code i have used the last 2 months).

I made BAT file so it does it automatically 2 months ago ... and up till 2 days ago it worked without any problems ... and i have not done anything to my xbox or programs.

After I downloaded the NEW files into directory i made these changes to bat file and txt file to get it work.

update105.bat
xmltv.exe tv_grab_na --output listing.xml

if exist listing.xml ftp -s:ftpscript105.txt

and for txt file:

ftpscript105.txt
open 192.168.1.105
xbox
xbox
cd F:/Apps/XBMP/tvguide
ascii
send listing.xml
bye

HOPE that helps others! smile.gif
This automates the process ... I just click on the BAT file and it downloads the new listings and sents it to xbox! smile.gif
Plug in your ip address ect... for it to work for you!

What happened was Zap2it changed their format.  I was using XMLTV to grab data for a PC based application and had the same problem.  Just make sure you have the latest version of XMTLV grabber and you should be ok going forward (although this last time it took them a few days to come out with a new version to handle the new data setup).
