Well, if you using a CD-R that probably your problem. (Unless you have a Samsung DVD)

Your probably going to want to reburn the files on a CD-RW or to DVD. (Burn As UDF)

no that is the problem - the cdr play on my xbox - but when I try to copy the disc on my computer it crashs says 25 seconds to go but hangs,

I am looking for a way of copying from the xbox dvd drive to the hd drive of the same ?

Is it a modded xbox? If so just network to your pc, ftp to the xbox an copy it from the dvd drive on the xbox. If its not modded, I dont know if its possible to access the dvd drive on the xbox over a network.

if the cd is copied in udf mode - you will be able to use boxplore to copy the file form the xbox dvd drive to xbox hdd
