Offbrand Dvd Remote And Xbmp 2.4

I was under the impression that the xbox remote was simply RCA.  A programable remote set to RCA signals reproduces it exactly.  If the signal is the same, how would XBMP know the difference?

Well a Cinema 7 All In Wonder Remote works with the DVD Kit
