Divx/xvid From Cdr?

biggrin.gif . These drives are the only ones that will read CD-R. You can tell by opening the drive on the xbox and looking at the tray. If its got 2 holes at the front then its a Samsung. if its solid with one long hole in the middle going towards the back its a thomson or phillips. If you are desperate to read CD-R, open up your xbox, use a power cable splitter and connect up a PC DVD drive. However this will stop u reading original game disks.

I know that, I just thought it was strange that people were finding their xboxes could read CDRs in xbmp. normally thomson or phillips drives dont read CDRs full stop. be it UDF or ISO9660 or whatever.

Right enough I misunderstood, but there must be a certain cdr brand that does work on these phillips/thompson drives, and people are burning in iso9660 and finding only xbmp will read them...

This just emphasizes (sp?) that we need iso9660 support in boxplorer.

For CD-RW I use TDK flawlessly. And for CD-R I use GQ (Great Quality) brand also flawlessly on XBMP.
