It works just like the tutorial says.

Yeah, if you already have a tv guide channel type thing on your tv then it's not really worth the time setting up as you'll have get the new listing every week.

Don't get me wrong, it is a cool feature. Plus you can get movie info from IMDb.

Actually now that I think about it isn't too time consuming after you configure it. Thats the long part. I have 900 channels but only wanted to see about 300 of them. And you have to type No for each on you don't want. After that it's shouldn't be too terrible to update.

It updates itself if you configure it to.

How is this done?

Thank you for any help.

The following steps are for those who want to make updating the listing.xml as simple as possible.

In the xmltv folder create a file called update.bat.txt

Copy and past this into it:

xmltv.exe tv_grab_** > listing.xml
if exist listing.xml ftp -s:ftpscript.txt

!!OBSERVE!! ** is your region//country !!Observe!!

Save it and delete the .txt part of it so it now is called update.bat
Creat a new text file called ftpscript.txt

Copy and past this into it:

open 192.168.0.3
xbox
xbox
cd F://Apps//XBMP//tvguide
ascii
send listing.xml
bye

MAKE SURE THE IP IS POINTING TO YOUR XBOX AND THAT LOGIN//PASS//PATH IS RIGHT!!!!!

In Winxp remove the : after the partion letter if it wont work.
Save it and dubble click the update.bat and it will get the neweset listings
and ftp it over to the xbox automaticly!

Default is 10 days listings, but doing it once a week is easy to remeber.
You could also do xmltv tv_grab_sn --days 3 and get 3 days..
