Update: tried commenting out the time server settings to see if that was the issue. But still locking up. So I upgraded to 2.4 (did not delete bin files just to see if that was problem) and it runs fine connected or not connected to network. So, no clue that the issue was  blink.gif  Just glad it's working now.
