How about Right Trigger for Fast Forward, and Left Trigger for rewind, A for play/pause, b for stop, etc.

None of this pressing A, then selecting nonsense.

Future goals of features, functions & supported formats include (not supported now):

- DivX 5.05 Playback (inc. all new Pro features), we'll have to wait until FFmpeg or XVID gets it.
- QuickTime < 6.0 (.mov & .qt) (frodo got QT 6.0 video to work via FFmpeg, but not sound yet)*
- Real Media/Audio < 9.0 (.rm & .ra) (frodo got some working but still issues with DLL wrapper)*
- XTrace Debug Client (to be used with XDebug Server) Code/patch already written by Blackbelt
- Auto-detection of xISO/UDF and ISO9660-mode1/2 - Code/patch already written by DFAngel
- DVD playback with menus (authored DVD's movies) (grompf if working on getting this to work)
- PVR - Personal Video Recorder functions using a PC or Server running Snapstream software.
- WebServer for remote control of XBMP (QSilver is working on a patch for this, help is needed)
- OpenDML AVI files (AVI files that can be larger than 2GB)(FFmpeg CVS now support this?)*
- Support for the mms:// Windows Media streaming protocol*
- SGI image/picture viewing support*
- DTS (Digital Theater Sound) audio track playback*
- Audio-CD (CDDA) playback for normal audio CD's*
- Ripping Audio-CD's to MP3 (possible using LAME/MP3 and OGG)*
- CDDB® database support when playing & ripping Audio-CD's*
- VCD/SVCD playback with menus (authored Video-CD's)*
- Xtended-CD (XCD) support (for extended ISO 9660 - Mode 2)*
- 3ivx playback (QuickTime MPEG4)*
- PVR Personal Video Recorder functions using a USB or network TV adapter to the Xbox*
...and many more functions/features HERE

Awesome! XBMP will be the most feature-rich mediaplayer on any platform, and raise quite a few eyebrows even outside of the xbox-community and techTV.

Believe!  tongue.gif

It would be cool in the TV Guide function could download the channels right from the XBox. Something like...

Configuration:
- Select your country code
- enter postal code
- It retrieves stations list from server
- Select station from server

Once it is configured, the program could retrieve new channel listings whenever the old ones expire.

mp3Pro plays just fine.

anywho, I'd like to see Visualization feature.
like Visualizations that sync to the music.
And the ablitiy to change the it with the controller. I think it's a little too random as it is now. It will be on something cool then it go to something really dumb looking.

Regarding remotes, just FYI, it has some nice settings (besides the evident wire hassle ) but i'd remark the direct jumps to a specific time using the number buttons.

Cool!
