Upgrade From 2.3 To 2.4

This is what I do;

I FTP into my Xbox, rename the old versions folder to XBMP.old,
FTP the new version in to a folder named XBMP.

This I don't have to edit the evox.ini. If it works satisfactory then I delete the XBMP.old folder. If not I rename it back after deleting the newer one.

sorry its against rules - just check usual file sharing places - all those dodgy places.
as for the 'worth the upgrade' i definitely think so - ive been updating with almost every compile release they do and there have been so many improvements - graphically and other less obvious but nice touches.  Much better processing of sound/video and it doesnt require constant attention on the delay of audio to the video (lag).  Chris

just nice features like visualisations for any mp3s and better compatability with avi's and decoding advancements.  If you have been upgrading with all the new realeases then probably not much but basic 2.3 to basic 2.4 is a big step up - id advise it

Remember also to delete the system.bin file in 0face007 on the E drive (in UDATA or TDATA, can't remember atm), or, go to the MS Dashboard, into Memory and delete the Xbox Media Player save files. This will remove the old configuration data for 2.3, which will be recreated in the correct format for 2.4 when you first run it.
