If there is no xbe file, you have got the non-compiled sorce files instead of what you really want. Unless you have XDK around I'm guessing it won't be much use to you.

oh, wrong file then cause i let windows search for it and it couldnt find it ...

but it says xbmp2.3 and even come with a .pdf guideon how to install it

did you get it from the XBMP main page? If you did, it's the source code to it, not the compiled application.

i got the full version of 2.2 but i cant get ne futher then it getting to the screen were it shows the files and then i cant move the curser up or down

complex 2.3 point release 11Mb
Cvs build 2.3 is around 3-4Mb

ok i now have it , but when it comes up all i see is a settings folder, i read the guide again and fing out i hae to movie the ".cut" file to c: i do and now when i try to go into it it read loads evo!?!?!?!

starting to wonder if its worth the trouble

Delete e:\tdata\0face007 folder.

Use the config.xml that came with the build and edit it to your liking.
Make sure the visibale tags are set to true.

Example:

<music>

<visible>true</visible>

got it now up and running , put a movie in my movies folder and BOOM cant get it to show up....who knows maybe xbmp aint ment for me

Happy you got it working.

XBMP is imho the best application for the xbox, and to not be able to use it would be a waste.
