when i change the xml to make the output hdtv (6 or 7) the media player comes up in the desired resolution, but the font is almost too small to read...
and no files will play... alwyay black screen on video or lock up on audio...
i am using the hidef pack from MS using componet video output into sony hidef tv

has anyone got hdtv to work?

the tv is capable of 480p 720p(upconverted internally to 1080i) and 1080i

I have a 43" 540p tv, with component. I boot to the msdashboard when I want to switch between tv's. Never noticed a problem.

same exact problem here.  1080i and 720p show tiny fonts and text is cut off on the left.  I'm just sticking with 720x480 (16x9) for now.  Though it would be nice to be able to use 1080i whenever possible.

same here 1080i too messed up, i believe someone made a PAL version 1080i skin.xml fix for this, anyone with a NTSC version??
