get XMLTV, it says the website in the xbmp (cvs) readme from a while back, then read the instructions how to use and you will learn you have to type xmltv tv_grab_uk

as for the people who want an aus tv grabber i will see if i can find one for you!

Now we are putting things into motion.

Unfortunately i don't know how to code anything cept stupid HTML that school taught me.

Im going to get a big thick hacky mucky book one of these days and learn how to code something interesting like C++ or something.

Hi serialmonkey

I'm glad someone in Aus knows abit about this. The only Perl I know is what I learnt getting the Hawkins script going myself, and believe me it isn't alot.

Might some of these help........?    Pity the ABC only have their shows (same as 10) and not all channels. We could put our tax dollars to some use then..... smile.gif

G'day Serialmonkey

www.ebroadcast.com.au/tv/ (whic is what I believe Justin originally grabbed from)
www.yourtv.com.au/ very good
www.sofcom.com.au/ also very good
www.tvguide.com.au/

Let us/me know when you've cobbled something together, happy to be a beta guinea pig wink.gif

Hey everyone,

I've got 2 days off from work so I'll have a bit of a bash at it.

Can someone explain how XBMP integrates with XmlTv ? I've only ever used it on Freevo before (www.freevo.org). I'll do a bit of a search anyway and see what I find.

In fact, Justin was sourcing from sofcom.com.au ..... which is powered by ebroadcast. YourTv and NineMSN are powered by HWW (a content aggregation provider) and I imagine they definatly won't like us using their data considering it's actually their business reselling XML feeds.

That leaves tvguide.com.au which looks like it's closed. If I can't find any other sites i'll probably just use yourtv and see if they catch on :-)

Ahh righto serial, I don't have a copy of his script so I wasn't quite sure where it scraped from.
Cheers, dAsh.
