First of all...you should upgrade to 0.75

xbmped to edit your xbmp config file
it will make it alot easier for u.

0.75 has a bug in it and I could never get it to work. Stick with 0.71 and run it as a service. Then edit the config file and your all set.

yeah, don't get .75. it's buggy when you try to set up the service automatically on XP, even though running it manually will generally work. wait until the next update.

Thanks for the replys.  I have Relax set up on windows xp.  When I use xbmp and go to network xns it doesn't show any folders.  What do I configure in the config.xml of xbmp?  At default the items below xns say c:[email protected], something like that.  Do I change this.  Thanks.

I finally found the problem.  I had to use a different ip address besides my xbox one. Weird but got it to work, now I'm happy.  Thanks again people.

I ran command prompt and typed in ipconfig,it gave me my address for my lan, my comp and xbox, a different ip address appeared for the xbox than the one that appears when you turn on your xbox.  So I used the one that was given on the comp.  It works, I'm still trying to get relax to browse other files.

I can get my files streaming, but can't get everything, say I share c:music, and e:music, i can't get both folders to appear.  What do I edit in the config.xml for xbmp, i have music@(ip address), and all i get are music from c:music.  I'm having so much trouble running relax.  If anyone can help, id appreciate it.

Maybe because they are both called music?!? Did you try to rename one folder to something else??

I'm not at home at the moment so I can't try it for you...

And how are you sharing?!? You can point straight to a folder in XBMP
<url>c:\[email protected]:1400</url>
(no example here but someone will correct me if I'm wrong smile.gif )

or make the virtual one in relax and use that one...

<url>[email protected]:1400</url>

(Use your own IP)

In the first example the music folder is your actual folder on the C drive, in the second it points to your virtual music folder in Relax, in that virual folder you can drag folders from different Harddisks and XBMP just sees it as one folder (with subfolders).
But as I said, don't know if it works if you have 2 folders with the same name on different drives.

That somebody with IP number 192.168.0.2 logged in with the right pass word and asked what files are in the virtual folder with the name picture....

Do you try to connect to a folder on your harddisk? Or did you make a virual folder named picture under Relax and "dragged" your picture folders into that?!?

BTW, the fix to relax .75 not starting as a service is to check the "Disable error message for empty iplist", or add your ip's to the allowed list.  if you leave that empty it pops up a dialog box warning that you don't have ip security turned on, and waits for you to click OK.  The problem with the service is that it is trying to pop up this dialog box, but can't, and it is waiting for you to click OK on the phantom window.  Thus the lack of starting in a "timely fashion"
