Ripping Full Dvd's To The Hdd

It's just not practical mordzy, 3 to 5gig per movie is nuts when you can rip to a PC and convert to a  Divx or SVCD movie file.  @ less than 1 gig in size for near DVD quality.

Do you need a DVD rom on your computer to rip DVD's to it?

I just have a Lite On CDRW.

yes you need a dvd rom to read dvds... how else you you get the info?

you could ftp it from the xbox dvd drive if you just really wanted to... but um.. that would take forever, heh.

im pretty sure that you can rip 5.1 sound if your making a DIVX backup.
