Using The Evox Menu In Xbmp
« on: March 30, 2003, 09:11:00 AM »

i want xbmp as dash, since it seems much more convenient.

But i also want my menu from evox:

[Menu]

Section "Root"
{
   Item "Play Game from DVDROM Drive / RESET",@5
       Section  "Play Games from HD"
      {
           Line "- Games on the Hard Drive -",2
         SortStart
         AutoAddItem "f:HDDLoader"
         SortEnd
      }
       Item "DVD MOVIE Player - Region Free","f:AppsDVDXdefault.xbe"
   Item "Xbox Media Player - MP3 and DivX","f:AppsXBplayerdefault.xbe"
   Item "Power OFF Xbox",@10
   Section "System Management"
   {
               Item "Game Management on Xbox HD","f:AppsHDDLoaderdefault.xbe"
      Item "Choose a Different Skin",@13
      Section  "Launch Apps from HD"
      {
           Item "Xbox File Explorer","f:AppsboXplorerdefault.xbe"
         Line "- Self Copied Items -",2
         SortStart
         AutoAddItem "f:Apps"
         SortEnd
      }
      Item "MS Dashboard - Use to change Time/Date and TV Settings",@3
      Item "System Settings",@9

is it a way to do this, putting this in XBMP main menu, and not as bookmarks.
i also seem to have trouble to get "autoadd" items to work,

now i have this in config.xml

f:HDDLoader
      </bookmark>

But i want the :
Line "- Games on the Hard Drive -",2
SortStart
AutoAddItem "f:HDDLoader"
SortEnd

to work, and also only show the games default.xbe .
Dont know if you have to make a cut file for every game, to make this work.

Any help is appreciated.

well in settings you can select the option about programs. (i can't remember the name of it)
this will simply show you the names of the games(taken from the default.xbe) so when you select it the game then launches. And if you do add F:HDDloader then it will already auto add the items in that folder!

THANKS!!!!! New Question: How can i edit the main page, where it says "my music" "my pictures" I want to add "my games" there?

That did the trick.

I couldnt make shortcuts.

i tried  ex:
f:appsboxplorerdefault.xbe       ----------->That did nothing

i made a .cut file , and put it in the boxplorer folder, and still nothing.

thought i had to manually put in all my games, you saved me that work.

Now i have boxshot images of all my hdd games and applications.

I think xbmp is much better as a dashboard, and its simple to just go back and forth between it and evox.

I have to, because only F Partition shows up when i use ftp.

ps. If you have plenty of games in f/hddloader as pxgame00-pxgame40, and dont know whats what. just use XBE Renamer to find it out. I had to , when i put the images to each game.
